Classical Israel- suggested itinerary

This tour is aimed for tourists who are visiting Israel for the first time and would like to visit the important historical, archeological and cultural sites in Israel, as well as taste a bit from the amazing natural attractions the holy land has to offer. Itinerary and program can be altered and “custom made” depending on clients wishes and needs, the age of the group members, seasonal attractions etc.

Day 1- Welcome

Arrival at Ben Gurion airport and drive to Jerusalem.
After rest and shower in the hotelevening tour on the walls of the Old City and “SHECHEYANU” blessing over wine and Challah.

Day 2 – Get to know the history of Jerusalem

Full day of touring in the old city and its environs. During the day you will visit important archeological and historical sites, the Wailing Wall, markets in the Old City, etc.

Day 3 – The Judean Desertcombination of beauty and history

Start the day driving among the beautiful vistas of the Judean desert and along the Dead Seathe lowest place on earth…
Visit the world heritage site of Masada, walk among the archeological remains and learn about Herod and the story of the rebellions during the Great Revolt in 67 A.C.
Walk in the amazing Oasis of Ein Gedi and enjoy the cool water, the nature and the animals around.
Time for relaxation in the Ein Gedi Spaenjoy hot springs, mineral baths and massages.

Day 4 – Desert and Zionism

Visit the interesting geological phenomenon Machtesh (crater)and enjoy an easy hike in its breathtaking views.
Visit the hut and the grave of Ben Gurionthe first prime minister of Israel.
Drive to Tel Aviv and check in to the hotel.
In the evening, walk in the beautiful old city of Jaffa.

Day 5 – Tel AvivA city that truly never sleeps…

Tour and walk through alleys of the authentic first neighborhoods of Tel Aviv, enjoy the artist market and visit Independence Hallwhere the state of Israel was announced!!!
Walk on Rothschild Boulevard and enjoy the architecture and good coffee.
Visit Rabin’s square the place were Yitzhak Rabin, the Israeli prime minister was assassinated.
Bike in Park HaYarkon, the “Central Park” of Tel Aviv and enjoy the Sunset from the renovated port of Tel Aviv.
After dinner Mayumana show experience the well known Israeli dancing group, an amazing combination of rhythm, dancing & singing.

Day 6 – along the shores of the Mediterranean Sea

Start the way north and visit the ruins of Caesareawalk among the remains of the Roman city and port.
Haifatour in the Baha’i gardens overlooking the Haifa Bay,
Continue north and visit the old part of the city of Akkowalk beneath the present city in level of the city from the time of the crusaders, experience the smells and tastes in the colorful market and sail along the ruins of the city.

Day 7 – The Galilee

Easy hike on Meron Mountainthe highest point in the area and look out over Lebanon.
Spiritual visit to the city of Zefat
Get to know the story of the Druze village of Peqi’in and visit the cave where the Rashbi lived for 13 years while escaping from the Romans.
DinnerDruze hospitality with an explanation about the religion and traditions.

Day 8 – The Golan Heights

Drive to the Golan and stop at the Offir lookout for the beautiful view of the Kinneret valley (Sea of Galilee).
Walk in Gamla nature reserve and observe the endangered vultures that are being protected there. Look over the ancient city of Gamla and becoming familiar with the unique basalt views of the Golan.

Day 9 – the Jordan Valley

Visit the place in which the idea of Kibbutz started The Kinneret Farm.
Drive south along the Jordan valley and visit the amazing ruins of the Roman city of Beit Shean.
Time to enjoy the springs in the natural pools of the Sachne.
Continue to drive towards Jerusalem.

Day 10 – Modern Jerusalem

Visit Yad Va Shemthe Holocaust museum.
Walk on Mount Herzlthe national cemetery where many great leaders of the nation are buried.
Festive Lunch in Jerusalem
Drive to the airport for your flight back home
